Reporting inappropriate behaviour as a self-employed professional or partner at Striive
Do you work with Striive as a self-employed professional or partner and experience inappropriate behaviour? You can report it. This article explains which standards of conduct apply to you and how to file a report.
Our standards of conduct apply to you too
Do you work as a self-employed professional or partner for or with Striive? Then the same standards of conduct apply to you as to our own employees. We care about a safe and respectful working environment for everyone, whether or not you're on our payroll.
What counts as inappropriate behaviour
Examples of inappropriate behaviour include:
- Aggression and violence, such as shouting, swearing, or threats
- Discrimination, such as unequal treatment based on background, gender, age, or orientation
- Boundary-crossing behaviour, such as inappropriate jokes or intimidation
- Bullying, such as gossiping, exclusion, or belittling
- Sexual harassment, such as unwanted comments, touching, or messages
- Structurally excessive workload, with too little support or unrealistic deadlines
Do you experience any of this during your assignment? You don't have to resolve it on your own.
How to report inappropriate behaviour
For you, as a self-employed professional or partner, we use our whistleblower policy. This policy describes how to file a report and what you can expect from us.
Send your report to info@striive.com. You can report verbally or in writing. For a verbal report, we put it in writing and show it to you to check.
Prefer to report by post? Send it to:
HeadFirst B.V., attn. Supportdesk, Taurusavenue 18, 2132 LS Hoofddorp, the Netherlands
You can ask us to treat your report confidentially. Where possible, you can also report anonymously.
What happens to your report
- Investigation: We start the investigation once we've confirmed your report. We hear all parties involved, so everyone gets the chance to explain their side. Where needed, we review documents and hold extra conversations.
- Decision and record-keeping: After the investigation, we draw a conclusion. Where needed, we take appropriate action. We record the outcome in a confidential file.
- Feedback: Where possible, we let you know the next steps.
You're protected
We treat your identity as strictly confidential. We share your data only with people who need it to handle your report. We also don't end your contract because of a report. Any form of retaliation because of a report is forbidden, including ending your assignment, intimidation, or reputational damage.
Do you suspect retaliation because of your report anyway? Report this too, via info@striive.com. We then take appropriate action and record this in writing.
