About the candidate workflow in Striive

The candidate journey in Striive describes the steps a professional follow from activation to application and status tracking. Each stage has been designed to make the experience clear, structured, and efficient for both candidates and recruiters.

Step 1: activation

The journey begins when a candidate receives an activation email, either through automatic matching or a direct invitation from a recruiter. By clicking the activation link received by email, the candidate is directed to the registration page where they set their password. Once this step is complete, the account status automatically changes from Registered to Activated, giving the candidate access to the Striive platform.

Step 2: profile setup

After activation, the candidate logs in to Striive. From the dashboard, they access their profile where they can choose to upload a CV for automatic parsing or manually enter their work history, skills, and education. Once the basic information is complete, they can refine their profile by adding a short biography, hourly rates, and preferences before saving their updates.

Step 3: job search

With their profile ready, the candidate can begin exploring opportunities on the Assignments page. They can apply filters such as location, skills, and job type to find positions that match their background. Each job listing provides a detailed description to help the candidate better understand the requirements and expectations for the role.

Step 4: resume check (optional)

Before applying, the candidate can choose to use the Resume check feature to assess their suitability for a specific position. After selecting a job and agreeing to the terms and conditions, the candidate receives a match assessment that highlights strengths, gaps, and overall fit. Based on this insight, they can decide whether to proceed with an application or explore other opportunities that may be a better match.

Step 5: application (offer)

When the candidate decides to apply, they submit an offer. The process involves uploading a CV or selecting it from the previously stored versions if available, writing a motivation, answering any client-specific questions, and confirming personal details. After accepting the job-specific terms and conditions, the candidate submits the offer. At this stage, the system updates their status to longlist, indicating that the application has been received and is under review.

Step 6: status tracking

Once the application is submitted, the candidate receives an email confirmation and can monitor progress directly on the platform. The status updates are automatically reflected through both email notifications and visual indicators on the platform. Candidates are typically moved from longlist to shortlist, then intake, and finally to either selected or rejected. A rejection may occur at any stage, depending on the client’s requirements and evaluation results.
